No, just more games support Nvidia cards, so they run better in most cases.

I'm not really a fanboy of either since I got a GeForce 6600 and then a Radeon HD 4870.

Thats simply not the case. ATI drivers are poorly coded to being with. The problems i have in one game i typically have in all games in general besides a few. I have come to find alot of other people have the same problems so i know its not just me.

Yes, because most of the games are made for Nvidia cards. Though ATi's codes probably are pretty poor.

No, ATI drivers are shit all around. Don't even have to be in games.

And ATI has every opportunity to help games devs with optimizing their games for ATI hardware. They choose not to, and decide to try to optimize in drivers, and generally fail to do so.

They haven't made a good driver since 8.10.

I haven't had any problems with ATI drivers.

Well I had problems with Catalyst working, not necessarily the drivers.

Lies! I am using driver 8.632.1.2000 with Catalyst 9.7, and they are both quite adequate! It's just anything later than that that randomly freezes my PC....

Certainly makes me think twice about buying a newer ATI card.

The only things which determine my fan'boi'sm are quality, after-sales service and price, in that order. Even though the price is what I check first.

But take for example, I've had an Asus P5B since May 07 now, going strong on an oc'd system. Other mobos mainly an older ECS and several Asrocks called it quits long before such time. So Asus mobos got a plus for me.

Another example is Lacie. I had bought an external Lacie HDD from OcUK and it had a 1 year warranty. 3 weeks before the warranty elapsed, it quit working, just didn't rev up at all. In those 3 weeks, I contacted OcUK and they told me I had to contact Lacie direct. The address they gave me was Lacie UK and I couldn't register there. Finally I got through to Lacie international... they told me I had to register the disk online before doing anything. Registering online asked me for the serial number which I couldn't find anywhere. I told them I had the OcUK proof of purchase and all the other docs and packaging, I kept forwarding the same email day after day but Lacie didn't even reply and soon my warranty was up. So I'll never buy anything branded Lacie again, for me they suck re customer service, period.

Corsair on the other hand, I bought a 16GB which quit on me and OcUK replaced it. It quit a second time and I got another replacement. I was just unlucky I guess, and customer service was excellent since Corsair don't refuse to allow the final retailer to deal with warranty issues so every time I got my pendrive shipped to me within less than a week.
